Mission Statement
The ALIE Foundation is a non profit organization dedicated to educating children and parents about the dangers of child abduction and providing bloodhound dogs to law enforcement for missing children cases. Our Vision
Do you have a vision for the Foundation? The ALIE Foundation vision is to be the best that we can be in child abduction prevention. As a cohesive team we will grow and achieve meaningful results by consistently focusing on children, improve everything we do, produce quality safety literature and services to children and parents, create safe communities through our every effort with value, respect, and develop a safe environment for every child, encourage each parents participation and ideas, be ethical, responsible, and protective of all children, be safe, have fun and take pride in our work.

Our Goal
What is your goal as a Foundation? Our main organizational goals, which we believe will best help us live out our mission, are (1) to have a society that is a safe place for children to live; (2) to have parents that are fully aware of the dangers of child abduction; (3) to have parents that take responsibility for the safety of all children; (4) to have parents work with law enforcement on programs that increase safety; (5) to have experienced law enforcement units working missing children cases; and (6) to have a society that respects, protects, and values the lives of children.

Our Objective
What is your objective? The specific objectives we will pursue to accomplish our goals are as follows: (1) to provide assistance and emotional support to the families of victimized children; (2) to provide safety materials and lectures to children in their meeting places and schools; (3) to provide safety literature and seminars to parents in their meetings and work places; (4) to provide support to law enforcement by obeying the law promoting crime prevention; (5) to provide bloodhounds to special law enforcement K-9 units for missing children; and (6) to provide bloodhound training information to law enforcement bloodhound K-9 units.

Code of Ethics
What is your code of ethics? Our Code of Ethics is to be followed by every member and violation of a principle automatically terminates their membership. Members must consider childrens safety at every activity, abide by our policy concerning children, provide high standard care for children, report and not protect any individual abusing a child, recognize their responsibility to their community, disengage in any activity that devalues a child, and support their local police department.

Success and Awards
What are some of your accomplishments? The Foundation's work is with the general public with a focus on children, parents, law enforcement, and bloodhound dogs. The ALIE FOUNDATON has been seen on five episodes of Americas Most Wanted, Unsolved Mysteries, Animal Planet, Busted, and People Magazine. Frontier Airlines, "A whole Different Animal," has provided outstanding support in transporting our bloodhounds. ALIE, was presented with the Colorado News 7 Everyday Hero Award 2000 for good community service, received The FOP Citizen Service Medal for outstanding support to law enforcement nationwide, was awarded the Milan Hulbert Annual Human Relations Award, the Retired Peace Officers of Colorado Citizen of the Year award, and The Sheridan Optimist Club Respect for Law Week Award.

Facts About Predators
What are some of the facts about predators of children? These are important child abduction facts. Research and experience demonstrate that sex offenders who prey on children: victimize vast numbers of children, are serial offenders, are dangerous and often violent, seek legitimate access to children, are rarely apprehended and convicted for the most serious charges. Abduction Statistics
What are some of the statistics concerning child abduction? The 1990 USA Facts Department of Justice National Incidence Studies reveals that; A child is reported missing or abducted every 40 seconds, 2,200 children are reported missing, 114,600 attempted abductions are committed by non-family members, 4,600 abductions are committed by non-family members, 354,100 children are abducted by family members, 450,700 children run away, 127,100 children are thrown away, 438,200 children are lost, injured, or otherwise missing.
